Yesterday was a exciting afternoon. I have been potty training my son and the daycare has also been working with him. Well i got home and first thing i did was got him to go potty. He went pee as usual. Well about five minutes later he was in the bathroom fusing with the door shut. Opened the door. Poop was all over his bottom, his legs, his pull up, on the floor, but the biggest achievement of all was it was in the potty. He had pooped in the potty but didn't know how to clean up so it got every where else. But i was so excited for him i didn't care about the mess. He did this on his own. I just wanted to share.

All right! My daughter has pooped in the potty I think 3 times now. Mostly she gets up there and farts in the toilet and then says she does not need to poop and 5 minutes later she is stinking up the house.

My mom was commenting to me daughter one day when she was about 14 months old and she used the potty(her idea) that people were not always going to cheer for her when she went potty. I was like until she is potty trained I will. Geez! Burst a little girls bubble why don't you.

Haha thats funny. Sometimes my son will sit on the toilet and try hard to go pee to the point he farts but only pees just a little bit. I still praise him every time though because he should expect that. I know if it was me i would want to be praised. LOL!

Good! The best thing is that you didn't got angry for the mess - since that can mess things up a LOT for children. It's hard to take care of that part and I prefer to wipe my children as long as it's possible, since it's very hard to wipe by themselves at a young age. Congratulations to both you and your son - I hope it will continu the same way!

Yeah this is not his first mess. I try to be patient with him because i know he doesn't know better. And if i yell at him or punish him i may scare him out of the idea of using the potty. Better to deal with it then to make it a problem. Thanks for the congrats. I just hope he will continue to do good and not like other kids go down hill later.

That's a good thing because when they learn you want have to change them any more, not have to change your child is a great feeling when all you have to do is say go to the bathroom. My oldest daughter is 3 and I just love it when she get up to go to the bathroom and I don't even have to say anything to her, oh no more diapers not having to buy diapers any more save you money. When my daughter did it I was a vary happy women now I just need to get my one year old to do it.

Yeah the good thing is the daycare is now wanting to switch him from pull ups to underwear so imagine the money i can save. Pull ups are so expensive. THey are twice as much as diapers.
