Before you, stands a large rock wall, barely visible, covered in heavy vines. Beneath the vines you will discover a door, large and solid of heavy oak with a brass knob and lock. Before you, on the ground, is a skeleton key, also of brass, shiny and new. Bend down and pick up the key and place it in the lock and turn it. The door opens easily. Peering through the door you see a garden of flowers on a sunny, Spring morning. Dewdrops glisten on the fragrant petals and butterflies frolic amongst the flowers stopping here and there collecting sweet nectar. There are colorful roses, petunias, foxglove, yarrow, larkspur and baby’s breath flowers as far as the eye can see. There are dogwoods and crape myrtle’s and azaleas full of blossoms amongst the garden. You see a path amongst the blossoms and walk to the center of the garden. A wooden and wrought iron bench sits on a circular cobblestone patio, beneath the shade of a magnolia tree. Next to the patio is a small pond with a gentle waterfall. The water cascades gently down and into the pond. Ferns peek from the rocky edges and water lilies float about the surface. A turtle slides from the rock where he was sunning himself and into the pond splashing noisily. Birds sing happily, from the branches of the flowering trees. Windchimes dangle delicately from the branches, playing in unison with the songs of the sparrows and bluebirds. You decide to rest here and enjoy the beauty surrounding you. Relaxing, you breathe in the aromas of Mother Nature in all of her glory. This is your private garden, a sanctuary from the mundane and hectic world of work and chores. I just gave you a starting point. This meditation if for you to continue. Add a firepit, or a swing. What animals do you see there? What flowers do you see? Are there statues or birdbaths? This is a place for you to relax, to play, to find peace. Only you have the key. Keep it close to your heart that you may return as often as you need. Blessings, Carolyn

Say that was very Kool! I think I will go ahead and borrow that for my imagination! Here's a meditation I wrote a while back, a new moon meditation: Breathe deeply; close your eyes. Breathe deeply again... See the sliver of a crescent moon, in a very dark sky. The air is very clean and clear. Feel the quietness and peace. Your (mental) eyes adjust to the darkness. A few stars sparkle and glitter. The dark sky has become gray. A peaceful ocean glimmers beneath the moon. You can hear the sound of quiet waves. The moon pulls gently on the tide - and upon your mind, as it quietly expands.

Thank you for your response sweetie. Also for sharing. I stood beneath the moon just the other night basking in her glow. It is always welcoming and a blessing. Carolyn
