school projects and garbage cans...could you have done this?

we were running on a deadline for a school project, and some of our friends simply can't attend morning ceremonies because we need to submit it by first period. one of the teachers went up to our floor to check on the rooms, and when the lookout warned us, we scampered for a hiding place. one of my classmates went into the broom closet, and another actually (get ready for this) hid INSIDE THE TRASH BIN. of course, we ended up going down to join the ceremonies with everyone watching our every step. it had been a funny discussion now, during our reunions, but the question is: could you have done this? have you done anything so dorky in high school? let's all laugh a little

fortunately, that was in the morning, so the trash was sent out the end of the day the previous day. but you know how garbage bins are. when it was time for us to go down the quadrangle, nobody stood beside him. don't ask why.

lol that was funny thing. hahaha I can't imagine myself inside the trash bin. When I was in high school, I remember it was a practice for a fiesta presentation and we 4th year students were grouped into 5. It's a funny dance presentation. 2 groups were already done with the presentation and after one more group it's our turn. For my group, we felt so awkward presenting a silly dance move so we get inside the class room and look for a space to hide in. Now, it's our turn and they were looking for us but someone had informed where we are, so the teacher went inside the classroom. I was caught at the back of the door, others hide at the back of the window curtains. Oh my, our teacher punished us so we presented more than twice a presentation. Wheeew so tiring. =)

That is just too too funny lol. No, I don't think I could jump into a garbage can no matter what the reason. Ewwwwwww, think of all the germs!!! That will be quite a story to pass down over the years lol. Gee, I'm positive I must have done something dorky while in school. Don't know if this counts as dorky (or just stupid) but once we had this assignment to read a book for a book report. I don't remember if I just forgot, or what. Others in the class told me to just make up a book, an author, and a story. In a panic, I did just that. The teacher who held the class was a very well-read gentleman, so I figured he'd probably catch on that it was pure fiction. Imagine our amazement when I got an A+ on the report. That's the only time I ever did anything like that lol. I do remember though that it seemed like I'd trip over anything when I was in school. That made for a lot of laughs (for others.)

We had one-storey buildings in high school, and there was another gate at the back of the building so that students coming from that direction need not go around the front gate. We have flag ceremony every morning before classes at the quadrangle. For many instances that I was late for it, I would sneak in from the back gate, put my things on the window of our classroom and wait till the flag ceremony ends and when the students go to the rooms I would just join them from the side of the building where they pass. I did this for so many times. Until one day, when I arrived at the campus I saw the students not in formation for the flag ceremony so I thought, well, I am not late after all, they are not even on formation yet. So with an armful of my things I quickly strode to the formation area. To my surprise and embarrassment I was spotted by the teachers and of course my classmates (who knew all along my "secret") and all studentry. The flag ceremony had just ended at that instance and they were starting to march up to the classrooms! My punishment? To sing the National Anthem all by myself infront of the flagpole, then pick up trash from the grounds! The funny thing is I got the 'MOST PUNCTUAL" award when I graduated!

I was the one to be on the recieving end of punishments for whatever mischieves happened in the college hostel. It was a womens college and we believed that rules are meant to be broken. What I remember is that during the study time we removed the bulb from the holder and kept a small coin there in the holder before fixing the bulb back. That would keep the whole hostel in the dark and we needent study during that hour! Now I am a teacher in a junior college and I am not very harsh on my students who are a bit mischevious because they remind me of the days when I was a student.

what's amazing is that he actually FIT inside the trash can. we skipped class back in college to eat a gallon of ice cream in a park. but that was about half of the class, and the class in question was quantum physics, so i think it's called boycott. hahah
