Finally my son is getting his first teeth! My youngest is 10 months old and I have a neighbor that has a son that is 2 weeks older than mine and he has 6 teeth already. I didnt think my son was ever going to get his. Finally early today we were sitting around and I felt them! He is finally cutting teeth! My others all had teeth pretty early on so I was wondering...and waiting for this one to get his. Guess I know now! YEAH!!!!

Children getting teeth is alway great. My son, who's now 6, didn't get his first teeth until he was 16 months old. He didn't get his front two teeth first though, he got his molars. It was odd and he was still getting his teeth when he was 3, when most kids are done. My daughter who is 18 months old, started finally getting teeth when she was a year old, and has 9 now.

My oldest got her teeth late and she lost them late. I have a school group picture and she's the only one with a toothless grin. It's whats normal for your son and you can't compare him to either your other children or the neighbor's kid. Now enjoy that toothy little grin!

As you know it differs a lot. My first got her first thoot the day she turned 4 months the next came the day after - at the age of 1 she had 16 teeth! One of her friends had none *lol* I think all my children had all 20 teeth befor 18 months - even if the younger didn't start to get them until they were 6 months. There are both pros and cons with getting teeth early. The cons is that they often get their permanent teeth arlier and it's a bigger risk they will get cavities in them.

I have two girls and they were both different too. Even now losing teeth. My youngest just starting losing her baby teeth but my oldest is losing them left and right. Every child is different, some will get their teeth early while some will get them later. I would not worry to much, I am glad your son starting getting his in now. But like I said do not worry, every child is different. TAke care and happy mylotting to you.
