This question is for AssociatedContent writers. How much do you earn from AssociatedContent per month ? How about per day ? How many articles do you have?

I joined AC about 3 years ago but have been active there for the past year. I have about 260 pieces, not all articles. Some are poems or recipes. But I have a goal of writing an article per day. Most days, my articles make at least 3 bucks, sometimes more, once in a while less or they are declined. If declined, I always rewrite to resubmit--but I leave everything there for performance pay at least. I make about a hundred to a hundred dollars per month on AC--about ninety from articles and ten to fifteen for performance pay. My performance pay has doubled about every 3 months. I started out at the 50 cent mark for performance pay, but the more articles I gained in the cache, the more hits. My hits should top 50,000 any day, and I hope to move from a clout 8 to a clout 9 soon. I had the honor of receiving a top 1000 award at AC for 2008, and I didn't even know there was an award. I just submitted what I could and tried to learn what was generally accepted and how to produce for them. I only have a handful of fans and I don't spend a lot of time commenting or reading other writer's work--except for the work of my favorites. But I do submit my published pieces to social bookmark sites: technorati, diggs, and delicious. And I have signed up to have my pieces Twittered. When I can, I link to other of my supportive articles, and I try to have at least one link in sources for each article, when something relates. Other than that, I make sure my work is as clean as I can get it; sometimes it takes 4-5 edits. And I use lots of headings to break the work up. I have also learned to keep plenty of white-space, make my keywords count, and to be sure there are plenty of my chosen keywords throughout the piece. That is my secret for reaching a hundred bucks per month. I'd love to know the secrets for reaching two hundred. I know, I know...double how much I write. Right?

I treat it like a job. I get up by 5:30 a.m. and by 7:30 or 8:00, I have an article written, edited, and submitted. Then I spend some time marketing my work by blogging and linking to my articles and by including them on social bookmark sites. I'm not a pro, just faithful. I try not to miss a day, and I look at my cable, internet, and telephone bills as what I work for on AC.

I joined about a month ago, working very hard to increase the number of articles, submitted more than 20 articles, hopefully can earn enough for my first payout. I guess got to put in more efforts to read and comment on others' work, so that more people will view mine and leave comments. Being international writer, I dont qualify for upfront payment. So all the earnings are from page views. If I dont lose momentum, should reach Clout 8 or 9 by the end of the year.

I don't do very well at Associated Content because I am so inconsistent, and as for page views, every time I read someone else's article on AC, I notice that they have many more page views than I do. Usually I get 75 cents to $1.50 per month...not very much at all. Just recently I learned that I could re-post my Helium articles over on AC for page views, so I have started doing that in the hopes of bumping up my monthly income. I am writing much more for Helium these days. Usually I only submit an original article to AC when I have something I think is a really good article. How much do you earn over on AC? Do you write a lot for them? Good luck with your writing!

I earn only about two dollars a month at AC. I am not paid for an upfront payment because I am an international member. I have 75 articles at AC.

That's too bad about the upfront payment...that's where most people really make their money on AC. Have you tried Helium?
