The courage shown by Chris Gayle after coming to bat even though he was injured, deserve a loud round of applause.
At that time though his team was paced in a better situation, his presence at the crease would ensure that West Indies take the lead and thus have a psychological advantage over the visitors.
Excellent team effort.

Eventhough he showed the courage to bat again , he did not deserve the applause as he went to bat just to hit each & every ball.He did not have the patience to stand in the middle & give support to Chanderpaul.
The best example of an injured player taking field would be Anil Kumble who came to bowl against the West Indies with a broken jaw.
