What anti virus you use ?

I use kaspersky antivirus and personally i think it is the best. i have used others but they have not been as reliable as kespersky. My databases update automatically and i havent had any trouble for the past 2 years that i have been using it

Avira only protects you from viruses and not from spyware, malware, etc. I suggest that if you're gonna get back with Avira, install also a good anti-spyware program, for example, Spyware Terminator or Spybot Search & Destroy. That protects you from malicious softwares like spyware, malware, adware, etc. I use AVG too but I update it daily. So, as much as you can, not only once a month, try to update your antivirus program. There's also a free, web-based scanner that you could use, I suggest try the ESET NOD32 online scanner 'cause it's pretty reliable.

I you want the best I would recommend Bitdefender to you..I have been using this for a long time now and it looked after my computer really well..!!!!

hi srikandi, i just bought my aspire one 2 days ago. and it has already avast inside as the anti virus. i don't know it's good or not. but i have my Q compaq with AVG as anti virus. i think AVG is not good enough since my compaq is infected by trojan right now, and it can't be healed or even removed. while my AVG always been updated.

Well I use to use AVG free, but it seemed to stop working after a while, and now I use Avira antivirus I like it a little better then AVG free, because Avira automatically updates its self, and it found more viruses then AVGS free version, but AVGS full version is really good, but you have to complete a bunch of silly offers to get the full version. anyway you can get all sorts of good free antivirus downloads at Cnet.com.

I use Avira antivirus free edition. i update regularly. You can also do manual update by downloading the update file from "majorgeeks.com" . There is a option in avira for manual update. The update file is a rar file. I think avira is good .

I use Avast. I got it cause it is one of the free antivirus programs, and I had heard good things about it. I used to use AVG, but I had some friends recommend Avast to me instead, so I decided to switch and give it a try. It seems to work really well for me, and I do feel like I have less problems since I started using it. My antivirus automatically updates itself every day.

I'm using AVG right now, because it's free.. haha =D It's recommended to me by my fren and i'm using it along with windows defender to further protect my computer.. hehe ^_^ I do set a update or scan for my computer, everyday, but i dun do it everyday.. Because the whole process takes about 2 hrs and it often slows down the speed of my applications.. hehe ^_^ THus, i will only do it about once every 2 weeks or so ^_^

We have used Norton in the past. Now we are using the free version of AVG. It seems to work well.

i use F-Secure at home, since it comes free with Reliance broadband connection. It is very strong anti virus software. Even rediff uses this. At my office i use norton 2009 which is also good one. Earlier i used Mcafee, which doesn't detect many viruses. I used AVG also in the past which only detects, but doesn't remove. Now i'm comfortable with F-secure and Norton. Oh i forgot to mention one of the best anti virus available today - It is Kaspersky.

Whoa, Srikandi... That's why you get spyware attack even if you already using an antivirus. You update it once a month ! You should auto update it everyday to minimize the internet thread. Everyday dozens of new viruses, spyware - malware are created, that's why we need to update our antivirus everyday. It doesn't take many space (usually only a few MB) to update it, but at least it saves us from greater danger, like getting our PC crash, stolen password, lost document and etc. Right now I'm using Avast, it's good enough for me. Avira and eset nod is also great. Just remember Dear, whatever good your AV is, it's useless if you don't update it every single day. take care :)

I have use Avira personal for a year. In my opinion it is better than kav, norton and mcafee. Because it could protect my personal computer from common virus, and could update automatically. The most important reson is that you don't need to pay for it.

My work has something to do with computer and I know a litte about the anti-virus. Some ones said that Macafee and Kaspersky is the best two anti-virus soft. But I think norton is also very good, as I have used it for many years. If you just use in your own computer, I sugguest that you use a local one in your country, economic and practical. To personal computer, there is no obvious difference between them. But you must install one.

Norton, 360safe ,,,because I am a programmer, so myself is a anti-virus master,,, often I kill virus manual,,,and protect myself pc manual,, but nowdays ,I work too much to do,,,,,so I need to save sometimes to work for programm.... so I install Norton and 360safe ,loafing on the job,,,, ps:I heared that some anti-virus-compay is virus-maker,,,,because of competition,living is a different thing!

I had avg free for a while and I never got any virus problems until recently when I got infected even with the avg running. I downloaded avast free and it was able to remove the virus. It updates everyday. I now have two antivirus running. I want to remove avg but there is no option to remove it. My uninstall does not work. Cheers!!

I have used many in my life and to tell you the truth, I have not been satisfied by any one of them. I have use norton, tren micro, Avira and symnatec. Just now I am using AVIRA and symantech. out of which Avira is doing good but symantec sux

I also use AVIRA PERSONAL. First it did not update. Then after formatting and reinstalling , it is updating automatically. you can also do manual update by downloading updates from the site majorgeeks.com. There is a provision in avira for manual update .You can chose the path where the file has downloaded and update. I personally feel avira is good. It blocks viruses. It gives real time protection.

right now i'm using avira as my antivirus..but actually i prefer to use kaspersky
