I hate it most when people pass their comments onto to others ears and don't say it on my face..I mean some people are so pi##ed off at my long hair that they talk about that to my family and some even advise them to advise me!!!

About the light thing..What we see of the light coming from a star..Its the present form of that light..I mean it started its journey a long time ago..It also got changed or grew old or I say faded with time and reached here. So we are actually seeing the present..Am I correct?
