I was having a random conversation on facebook with a very good disabled friend of mine and somehow, I don't know how, the subject of human cloning came up. He said that if we had human clones we wouldn't have a shortage of PCA's as we do now because we could have the clones help us. I was like that's horrible. You're promoting slavery. He said that he wasn't because there would be a regulation agency to assure that they would not be mistreated by abuse, etc. I still say this is wrong. If we have a PCA shortage and need to invent other methods of getting services why don't we give money to the Japanese who already have a robot for this? I met it. He came to the conference I was at in Japan to practice. It was a little creepy, but I could get used to it. What's your take on this issue?

A personal care assistant, someone who helps disabled people do basic tasks that able-bodied do by themselves.
