Disturbances that keep me from getting my work done....

So every day there is a group of kids (about 18 - 23) that hang out in the alley behind my office. One plays the guitar and sings at the top of his lungs, the others scream and yell and argue. They smoke drugs back there, smash glass, and spray paint. We have called the police numerous times, but they always come back. Yesterday a fight broke out, one kid smashed another kid over the head with a pipe. There was a lot of blood. It is difficult to get work done with all the noise that goes on down there. Not too nice when you have clients in the office and all they can here is swearing. It is so annoying. I don't understand what the big attraction is in hanging out in a stinky, dark alley. What would you do about it?

I would get in touch with local government as well as local televisions news media. I don't know about Canada but in the United States there are television stations that have an action reporter who will investigate a matter a citizen has had trouble getting resolved and put it on television and try and get city officials involved.

We have a huge homeless person problem in our city. The city has been fighting with the courts for a while and had to change some bylaws. The homeless people feel it is their right to set up tent cities and camp in our city parks. The city had to go to court and fight it so that they had to be out of the parks by 7:00 a.m. It makes me mad that all the tax dollars are being spent that way. The new mayor of the City says its his first priority to look after the homeless problem. I don't know what the solution is.
