I remember how awful those saltines felt on the way back up! Diclectin was the only thing that worked for me too. I resisted going on it at first, because I was worried about taking medication, but when I got down to 109 lbs from 120 and I was 3 months pregnant, I became more worried about the baby not getting enough nutrition. I took it during the 4th month and still felt a bit naseauted, but stopped throwing up. By month 5, I seemed to be OK without it.

Saltines work for me sometimes. I have never heard of this medicine. I wonder if my insurance will cover it. This is my 2nd pregnancy and I would really love to not have to deal with it again...morning sickness that is!

Listed below are some useful tips and natural remedies that may be helpful for nausea. If one remedy doesn't work, experiment with another: • Practise deep breathing, meditation, and yoga and try to take an hour's walk in the fresh air every day. • A protein-rich snack eaten half an hour before you go to bed in the evening will help to ensure that your blood sugar level doesn't fall too low during the night. • Try to remember to get up slowly out of bed and take your time in the morning. You may find a teaspoon of cider vinegar in a cup of warm water helpful first thing. • An infusion of grated ginger root may bring relief if drunk while you are feeling nauseous. • Increase the iron-rich foods in your diet, such as beef, sardines, eggs, dried fruit and green leafy vegetables. • If you have no appetite, take 10-20g of vitamin B6 as a daily supplement. • Try an audio-therapy CD. Similar to those developed for travel-sickness, CDs are now available to ease the symptoms of morning sickness. Frequencies and pulses, disguised by music, interrupt signals from your brain to your gut telling your body to be sick. • Aromatherapy. Use essential oils of lavender, chamomile, and rose (either singly or combined) mixed with a base oil, as a massage oil. You can also put a drop or two of one of these on a tissue and carry it with you.

I don't know if there is a cure. I ate saltines and drank ginger ale. My docter was able to give me a medication that helped a little bit. It was not harmful to the baby. Good luck. It gets better.

Get some ginger from a healthfood store. It's been known to cure very extreme cases of morning sickness.

Awww congratulations on the reason for morning sickness!! I know it isn't any fun though. I've been there! Ginger is good, peppermint, preggie pops, Earth Mama Angel Baby has a morning sickness tea. Gatorade can be helpful some times. Try not to let your tummy get empty. I know that is hard but it does make it worse. Good luck!

Saltines are the only thing that ever worked for me. Or getting gross here...just having a moment in the morning where I just gave in and got sick...I was fine after that. Saltines....

There is a magical little pill you can get from the doctor. it is AMAZING!!! It is kind of expensive though. If I remember correctly it is called diclectin. it is a vitamin b with antihistamine pill and works amazingly. I went three months of fairly moderate to almost severe morning sickness where I was missing school and losing weight while I was pregnant with my second daughter. So my nurse practitioner advised me about this diclectin. I was reluctant because it is a medication and you know you can never be too careful with those kind of things when your preggers, but she assured me that it is 99.9% safe and will not harm the baby. Maybe asked your doctor about that, they are kind of expensive though. Just wait until your morning sickness turns into heartburn/acid reflux! that's when the party begins lol.
