Do you feel as if you were born in the wrong era?

I often wonder what it must have been like to be a hippie. For the way I think is probably most similar to the hippie philosophy. I know a lot of the movement was fueled by drugs and music and just plain rebellion against the system as it were, but I still kinda understand what they were trying to achieve. Sometimes I feel as if I have been born in the wrong era. I have had dreams that I was a hippie, and even a person from an even earlier time. If you were a hippie, or perhaps just around during that era, you can give me a better understanding of the time. If you feel as if you were born in the wrong era, share that with me as well.

Sometimes I feel this way. I used to feel this way a lot, though, back when I was in high school, and I just generally didn't fit in with a lot of the other girls & didn't listen to the same kind of music (I listened to 70's & 80's punk!) I've only recently started getting into trends & what's "cool" these days. .

It probably helps that art rock, punk, and new wave are all really trendy right now. I love that my freakishness has turned out to be the popular thing. I was the absolute outcast in high school. Now I'm totally the cool guy and I swear I still own some of the same clothes I wore 15 years ago. btw you must have great taste in music.

For me, I feel like I should have been born in the 50's..LOL.. When my grandma and I talk its like I can so relate to her and what she says. As a kid growing up in the 90's, I loved watching the movie Grease. I always went to Reno for summer vacations to see my dad and with Hot August Nights, I would get out my poodle skirt and Rollar Skates and join the crowd and have a lot of fun dancing with my dad to Elvis or Chubby Checkers:) My alltime favorite though is Richie Valens:) Anyways, I do believe I should have been born in the 50's.. Crazy huh?

I feel like these sometimes. Because some say living in the past is much better than what we have now. So there, hehehe.
