What do you do when you see a creepy crawly creature like cockroach, lizard, centipede, caterpiller, scorpion, mice, and such. I really hate these kind and I jump on the bed or anything that keeps my feet off ground. I also scream for help. The worst I think are the flying ones. The flying cockroaches eeeek!!! I don't kill them though. I only feel disgusted. What about you? Are you afraid of them? What is your reaction when you see one? Have you had any interesting experiences that you like to share?

Well I do not like Cockroaches although it is proven they are very clean little crawler. Lizards how ever I love I just really love all reptiles snakes included. I had a pet rat. So do not really mind them although I would not want a wild rat in my house. I think everyone has a mouse at their house lol I really do. Them little field mice are so cute. I am a big nature person and well I try not to kill any bugs or such I feel there is a reason that they are all here! Nice Discussion! Happy mylotting!

Hi nikky!I dont like cockroaches.I am a biology teacher and I have to dissect them for the practicals.I remember one day it was the practical period and there was a jar with cockroaches ready to be dissected .I asked one of the boys to give it chloroform. As soon as he opened te lid out jumped the cockroaches and there was lot of yelling and screaming from the biology lab.Soon the principal rushed in to see what the problem was.Guess where I was?On the slab!!And the students were trying to assure me that the cockroaches were as afraid of me as I was of them.

Cockroaches I would just squash. I don't get them where I live now. But, where I grew up, I saw them more often. I typically see spiders, ants, house centipedes, and the occassional beetle. I squash them all. I don't care how beneficial they can be because they may prey on harmful bugs. Even though spiders aren't insects, they're stil bugs to me. The only bug I do like and am not terrified of is a ladybug. I've been know to see a little tiny bug, and then run the other way, and that was just last spring. I don't see mice. Where I live, you wouldn't see a lizard, or scorpions. If I saw a scorpion, they would probably have to put me away. I did however have an experience, which I thought was odd. One day, I woke up before the birds, and decided to get a head start on my housework. I'm enter the bathroom, and see what appeard to be a balled up bandaid on the floor. As I'm ranting because I live with people who don't know where the garbage can is, I notice this balled up bandaid has eyes. I look closer, and notice it's really a teeni-tiny little froggie. I don't know how it got in. I was certainly shocked, but I wasn't afraid of it. I just didn't know what to do. I didn't want to hurt it, but I didn't know how to get it inside. I ended up waking my son up to take care of it. He used our little fishnet we have to capture and release it. I ended up being a little red faced because not only did I have to have my son take care of it, but he automatically knew what to do. Oh well!

I could never squash anything other than fruit lol. Your story is amusing. I would have screamed at the sight of the frog and run out of the room yelling for help lol. Cool that you weren't afraid of it. Your son seems like a brave guy. hehe he would have savoured the moment lol

I normay hit with a shoe expect for spiders I hate those creepy crawlys because they can hide any where and get on you not just from on the ground our but from above or hiding in your bed at night and you don't know it. I think thats the only creepy crawly I don't like.

I hate roaches and rats! I jump around whenever I see a roach, make audio sounds that are commonly referred to as screams at which point I take the nearest object and kill it screaming die die die! Once, I decided to sleep on the floor and just as I had covered myself, I felt something crawling on me. Any sleep I had went right then, I got off that matress without knowing what creature that was and slept on the bed despite problems with my back. I don't like roaches, I gladly eliminate them.

Well I am OK with every kind of creepy crawlies adorning our homes except the great cockroach…to say it safely I can die if I ever spot a cockroach at the far end of the room. As for doing anything, except for shouting hoarse, there is little I can do. My imagination runs wild and it seems the antennae of the cockroach are extending and grabbing me and its crawling all over me with that hideous colour and long legs uggggghhhhhhh

I do not like any kind of vernim. I am afraid of them and usually go the other way. If the creepy crawler is in my house, I will have my husband take care of it. I am so thankful that I am not bothered with these things. Every now in then during the summer months a spider might get in. I do not have roaches, or mice in my house, one year there were a few lady bugs, but I can deal with them, they are supposed to be good luck. If there was a mice in my house, I would leave home until it is caught.

I cannot say that I'm that keen on these creatures but I have come to accept them as part of our environment. I don't like spiders but if I see one I will try not to kill it but I will try and catch it and release it, as ugly as they are I still think they have a right to live. Andrew

It depends, sometimes I feel the courage to stay calm and do something...hehe...but when you talk about flying cockroach, that's when I scream and really get out of that place as fast as I can...(^_^)! I can sometimes kill a cockroach using my good slipper, but what I really can't overcome is spider, centipede and scorpion...that's really creepy to handle...Lol!

I kill them at once. I mean the cockroaches and centipedes and ants. I catch the little mice with a flypaper then just throw them away. The big rats hide in the sewers and i could not get to them they are like intelligent beings who can distinguish a poison and a trap. I have not actually seen a scorpion anyway. I just let the lizards roam around (i have not seen one in our house lately). I don't mind the caterpillars, they become beautiful butterflies. Hi nikky28!

I love lizards & granddaddy long legs. If I find one in my house I will catch them & put them outside. Spiders are good bugs, they kill the bad bugs. Lizards are good too at catching insects & good for nature. I took my grandson to an insect thingy at this nature thingy. We ate grasshopper pizza & ant cookies. His friends said I was the coolest grandma ever....LOL!!!! We saw hissing coach roaches & we held a female tarantula that still had her fangs. My grandson loves bugs, LOL!!!! I have to watch him to make sure he does not try to touch spiders or snakes unless we are at the pet store. He wants a snake but I told him when he is grown....LOL!!! I like snakes but I do not want to get stuck taking care of one.
