Does God love us more than Jesus Christ?

"Fahter, if it is possible let this cup pass me by" This was the statement made by Jesus Christ the night he was arrested and crucified. God heard this cry from His ONLY son, Jesus Christ, yet He still allowed Jesus to be arrested, maltreated molested and finally, was crucified like a robber. Do you think God hates Jesus to allow him go through such treatment?

I have always believed that Jesus was a part of God. The father, the son, and the holy spirit all refer to God so in someways Jesus was part of God if that makes sense. God loved his creation so much that he sacrificed his son on a cross for our sins. If you run through the horrific beating Jesus took at the time and all the torture it isn't hard to see why he said what he said. I don't think he was mad as much as he was opting if there was any other way. That is just my opinion...

I believe Jesus was exactly what He said he was, the Son of God. Remember God was Jesus' father so maybe Jesus even looked like God. We don't know this at this time. We do know that Jesus is of the same mind as God to a large extent. I have seen man's sons that were an exact duplicate of their father in the way they act and look. I think this is what Jesus meant when he made the statement, "If you have seen me you have seen the Father". This scripture is where people get the idea that the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost are all one and the same. Two many things in the New Testament tells me this is not correct. I can't believe there is any way Jesus would lie about who He was. Art

Huh? The whole point of the exercise was the plan. The plan that is beyond human understanding. We can posit the rationale behind it, but I doubt we can impart negative human emotions to a being that omnigood. God didn't hate Jesus because God is incapable of hate. (Not to mention that Jesus and God are one in the same.) Did God hate Judas? That's a more difficult question. On the surface, based on above, no. Judas was a player. It was necessary that someone betray the Christ and Judas was unlucky enough to get the part. Without his part, someone would have had to fill the void. The betrayal was an important part of what happened. Jesus could not DO anything that would have prompted his arrest, so someone had to turn him in. God sent his Son to Earth to remind people of where they had gone wrong. It was an act of love that showed us not only the extent of God's commitment to us, but also our own arrogance in the face of the divine. We were given an opportunity to accept the words of God himself, and instead we crucified him. What does that say about us?

God's love for His Son was infinite, as well as His love for us (His adopted sons and daughters). Infinite love cannot be greater than infinite love. His Love for us was displayed on the cross, in that He would sacrifice His Son, and Jesus' love for the Father was shown through His willingness to be sacrificed. Jesus' torment and crucifixion does not lessen God's love at all toward His Son, it only exemplifies the love He shows to us.
