Not normally! Sometimes it can be fun to put on an accent (maybe an American accent!) and use some slang! A newer piece of slang is when people say "24/7" as in '24 hours a day, 7 days a week', meaning something is available around the clock - most people seem to use this phrase nowadays! These types of words that you mention have been around for some years, probably decades now, so are rather 'old hat'.
