I would have to say that I don't really have a best friend outside of my marriage. I have had some good friends in the past and haven't kept in touch with them for years.
I just now keep some acquaintances and avoid any type of close friendship contact with anybody anymore.
You see,I have just had some experiences in my life where I felt rejected and let down. I don't really try to go through the process anymore of acquiring close and best friendships.
I know what I have in my home. A loving family and that is most important.
Of course, I do enjoy the people here at this site for talking and making some nice friendships here. Welcome to myLot.

Well for me they're not your true friend when during your bad tiems,they're gone or rejected you. Yes stil we could be ahppy without bestfriend,right but we cannot live without a friend,would you agree?Well fsmily is best to be consideered your bestfriend I may think.And on my part I love making friends here and everywhere in the world.Welcome to mylot

I do think it is very important to have a good friend. It is just that I have a good friend in my marriage and I hold family very dear. I have had hard times and experiences in my life when it came to trying to hold on to friendships.
Half of the time I felt like I did half or more of the work trying to sustain a friendship of someone that seemed that they couldn't even have been bothered.
It hurts sometimes.
I keep thinking that I moved on from that but sometimes it still bothers me. I am not saying that I don't want any friend anymore it is just that I am guarded about the ones I pick and choose.

I have a number of friends but when things come to 'best friend' I feel sorry to say that I have none. Besides, I have never counted on this number that I needed to have a best friend. I am well with common friends. We enjoy sometime partying here and there and forget as there is no thread to bind me with a particular species of that creature.
My wife is the best friend if at all Ian to pin point any.

My best friend is a dude that I've known now for about 20 years, cool azz cat, always helped me out when I neede help. Always one to give good advice, and always a mellow dude.

i have very few friends with whom i have been in touch from my school days. they have been with me ever since we have known eahother. i can count on them at any moment of my life and expect them to help me. apart from this i also have some new freinds whom i know well and predict that in the near future would be able to count on them too.
for me best friend is one with whom i would be able to share each and every emotion of mine. in tat case, my best freind is 'me'. there is no one in my life with whom i am able to share each and every emotion. so i am my best friend.

I have so many bestfriend but the best bestfreind i have right now is Mary Ann Amodia.She is the best because for me she is perfect although no one is perfect but still she is the best.

right,no perfect but still we can say to someone dear to us like bestfriend that they are perfwct or best for us because they're with you through ups and downs.
