Well my star too but I'm not talking about that (probably a dumb response I left yesterday after reading the discussion too quickly lol). Ever say anything really embarrassing and realize it the second it came out your mouth? I did but it was kind of way too stupid to repeat here. Fortunately the guy had a sense of humor...

Mom and Dad's bedroom was red and pink. Dad used to refer to it as Mabel's wh*re house. Mom was very fond of bright colors. Came from growing up in the depression and getting hand me downs from older cousins who were mostly into gray, brown and black. Not that I would wear a lot of the things that she did, but it brings back a smile or two now.... And thx for the plusing. Looks like you could use a little too...

Many many times Dawn. I wrote something dumb on here just today. However, I've never said what a former house mate said once. He was explaining how his sister had to go into hospital for an emergency operation. He said that she had had a "vasectomy" to help her to breathe. I think that he meant Tracheotomy". LOL.

If that guy were me I'd have told them where they could put their request, or volunteered to come back on 3 times my daily wage to help. Barstewards!

Oh heavens, what a visual!!! Couple of days ago I was in a meeting. The guys from the company we are outsourcing to asked a guy who is being let go because of the outsourcing when he could get something done. The guy told them he wasn't going to be here much longer. They misunderstood what he was saying and started laughing. Talk about mistakenly tacky and insensitive. Ouch.

I wish I could see that response. Do you have any link towards that discussion? Many times, not only on mylot but in real life also I have leaped before i could think and was embarrassed by the crowd or person in front of me. The only way to void being blushed in front of crowd is to either Don't say anything: I don't lik ehtis option. or Say but after thinking: I am a little lazy for that! LOL

aww dawn... I'd say we all do it from time to time. we might make some comments that are way off tanget to the subject because we heard it wrong or misunderstood it or like discussions, read it quickly. But most people will understand especially people with great sense of humor and pass it off like, "there are just those days that..." I've been doing a lot of it lately and get me red and stammering most of the time but yeah, I say it happens and luckily some people who had seen me in those embarrassing moments were sport. hugs...

Geez, what kind of parents would saddle a kid with a middle name like that? But seriously we all do it. This morning my daughter was so embarrassed. She says "Mom what do they call people from Texaco, Texacans?" I said, "huh? Texaco? That's a gas station." "OMG what did I say?" It was pretty funny...

Don't feel too bad. I think we've all done that a time or two. I just recently responded to a discussion about a "stimulus package". I thought they were talking about taxes, but they were talking about the "mylot" stimulus package. Boy, did I feel dumb. Oh well. Such is life......

Yes I've really messed up a couple of times, all I could do is say I'm sorry. I don't think those folks ever answered me again. But hopefully i've learned my lessons

Ah well, sometimes people accept apologies, sometimes not. Guess all we can do is learn from it and move forward!

I do that lots of times. don't worry. I had a couple of aging actors at the villa and in a stupid moment remarked that a friend of mine who is a set designer does not care who the actors are but cares about the producer for the fil. They looked at each other and then I realised that the silly people were offended. So I grovelled. Done it on MYlot too.
