Do you think its useful or think otherwise? I had 6-7 credit cards but I over used them & I had to shell extra money like the hidden charges , some times late payment fees .Have you ever paid extra for your credit card payment?

Yes I got into some serious credit card debt when I was married and my husband and I were irresponsible. My credit score was only about 530. I paid off all the debt eventually (and got a divorce -- but for other reasons!) and had to start out slow with credit again. Now I have 3 credit cards but I rarely use them. I only have them to keep my credit score high. My score is now at about 715, and my boyfriend and I will soon be buying a house. He has good credit too.

Thats a good way of spending the credit card.If used within limits its just like having cash.

It's useful i think if you use it wisely, pay before the end of the payment date there will be a hidden charge or interest if you late to pay or a charge, so i never pay an extra for credit card billing, pay on time then a credit card will be very usefull for you, just takes the advantages of the discount from the credit card offers, and you can have the desire things that you want when you didn't bring cash to pay, you can pay for it on the next month That's my tricks lol

I used to have 4 of them years ago. Of course like a lot of people I abused them and ran them all over the limit. Now I applied for one but they keep denying me. That's probably a good thing.

They will have the track record of your payments. If they are not upto the mark they will reject it.The should not be a late payment & you should not have bounced any cheque.

I have paid and over paid on them and learned my lesson. We no longer use credit cards, if we need something that requires a visa we buy the debit visa cards at the store and use them that way.... We over abused them and got into serious debt so we have slowly but surely gotten ourselves out of that mess and will never have them again... we are not interested in them anymore.

No, I don’t have any credit card neither do I intend to have one. I carry adequate cash with me and at other times I stick to my capabilities. Like if I am dining out I will order as per my purse or if I am shopping I will buy within my list. I feel carrying a credit card gives us the flexibility to pay and we end up paying more than we intend to.

About ten years ago, I paid them all off and canceled them. I am very glad I did. The only thing I have on credit is my house. I even paid cash for my car. Now mind you, I don't get new and nifty things. Only things I can afford. My vehicle is a 96 - 13 years old. But it runs and gets me there! If I have no money, I don't go out to lunch. I conserve my gas and groceries and make them last until I have money again! It is a great way, a responsible way to live.

I have two, but I am paying them off very soon due to high fees and high interest at the present time. I have another card that works like a credit card but it actually uses funds in my money market account - the money is already there. When I make deposits to it, the more money there is available to take out. It is like a secured credit card.

I'm lucky I don't have a credit card, and wont probably get one in the future. Its kind of expensive to own a credit card. Some charge like 10-20% interest with hidden fees and charges.

Yeah i have a credit card. Its really a big help for me. You just have to use it wisely so you dont have to pay over your normal expences. Over using it wont do you any good. Only used it for important purposes. And also limit yourself. Having a credit card is so tempting. You will be temp to buy things are not so important. So be wise. Use your credit card at your advantage. :)

I used to but now I'm down to two. Too many credit cards gave me too many temptations and too many headaches!

to be honest the only credit cards I had where when I was young, and I used them for the interest free and paid them off before any interest was added. Now to be honest I stopped applying for cards as I had a few for emergencies but the banks cancelled them because they said i wasnt making them any money as never used to pay any interest. So just pay cash now.
