I am a tracy chapman fan and last night while I was washing clothes and cleaning I was listening to her cd. the song BEHIND THE WALLS i heard the line THE POLICE ALWAYS COMES LATE IF THEY COME AT ALL. So my discussion is mainly about does the police always comes late? Did you experience something were you need the police is they came when it was all over already?

Police and the ambulance are fairly slow in getting to someone even if it is a real emergency here in the UK, still guess that's life. But also the police and ambulance in cluding nurses and doctors are very short staffed so in a ways it really isn't their fault they are late...littleowl

It is not really easy for me. My heart breaks everytime my sister tells story specially when Keiji is not feeling well. I see him almost everyday on the webcam and he is getting cuter everyday. It is also a big sacrifice for my sister for sometimes Keiji gives them sleepless nights. Hope to hear that you are okay.

Hi little, how are you? You have a point there. That they are short staffed and it is a big country. But who are the people will rely if there are accidents and bad people around who wanted to hurt you. Very frustrating and at the same time very sad to hear. Hope you are doing okay, I'm missing my son so much but I am okay.

the police always comes late that is IF they come at all. i remember three years ago. we went out to go picnic. me, my wife and my son. we went out early and we went home around 6pm. while we are getting down from the cad i noticed that pur house lights are on. i never leave the house with the lights on. so i have a feeling that something happened. and i was not wrong someoene forcely entered in our house up to our room. my wifes cabinet was ransacked and she lost her jewelries. i called the police twice and they never showed up. they are not just late they didnt showed up.

They never showed up? I will get so mad when that happens to me. What is the reason for calling them and informing then that you need help if they will not come. That sounds really irritating. I am so sorry to hear that hope that this will not happen anymore. Nobody to rely on very frustrating.

just like in the movies hahaha...police arrived at the scene of the crime but the hero had already finished the job. end of the story. i don't have any specific figure on what's the probability and survey if the police always come late just like in the movies.

Well sometimes in real life the police yes, comes late but there is no hero who can save the day. What if there were no hero who can take care of the neighborhood. No spiderman ir batman who can save you and your love ones. Very frustrating indeed.

I know that song, it's good. A few years ago our shed was broken into in the middle of the night. My partner heard something, and went out to look. The shed door was open, and some of his power tools were missing. He phoned the police straight away (when they had a good chance of catching the thief), but they didn't turn up until mid-morning. They discovered that several people had been burgled, at least one of them after our shed had been broken into. We know that because they had used one of my partner's screwdrivers! If they had come when we called them, they would have caught the thief.

Watching tv shows about police in action makes me feel like they are never late when called. And with your story it only proves that they were not just late but super late and like the song of Tracy Chapman police always comes late IF they come at all. so it means if they are not late they dont really show up. Thats very frustrating.
