I heard someone say what goes around comes around. I find it hard to believe in that. Especially when it comes to prison. They are many prisoners who done bad things to others but yet bad things don't happen to them.

The punishment for a crime cannot be given twice. This is human justice also. If that [Humna Justice] were that sensible, the justice doled out by the inexorable Law of Karma[LoK] can also be "sensible"!?!. The only difference between human justice and that by LoK, is that Karma is corrective. Human justice is not necessarily. But being in prison- is it not a sufficient punishment for wrongdoing? Is it not true that freedom is the most fundamental right and desire of a person and when that is curtailed you are already going through a bad thing for a bad thing done. Karma will catch up with the person if he/she has not changed subsequent to the "punishment". Let's assume that the criminal is a completely changed peson after the imprisonment; then what Krma sought to achieve has already been achieve.

According to Karma theory, the results are not necessary to take place immediately. It may occur in any stage of life, even in the next life. So,we can't judge that good will people will not suffer and bad will people will suffer. The paths of Karma are mysterious. So,don't lose heart.Stick to good things. You will be rewarded.Cheers!

Karma is a Sanskrit word that means action. The western idea that it means what goes around comes around is a common misconception. In the Hindu and Buddhist tradition where the concept of Karma originated it only means that for every action there is a consequence. This consequence may be good or bad but is not a result of the intention of the original action.
