according to a study done in the university of arizona... keyboards, computer, mice and telephone dials are more infested with microbes than the toilet seats. How much dirtier are they? -400 times more,on average.... So for the sake of discussion... How do you make sure that your gadgets are keep clean?

Hi, Yea actually my mother told me that and I didn't really believe her. But then when I actually thought about it, and realized that places such as schools, public libraries, and colleges have thousands of people touch the keyboards and mice, I then realized how many germs and bacteria are actually on all of them. And I think I know the main reason why, many people who go to the toilet do NOT wash their hands I have no idea why, but they just don't do it. Then they always go over to a computer and start using it right away. I do not know if this is only for males or also for females, but after I use the toilet, I always wash my hands no matter what, but I see many males go out of the toilet, pat down their hair with their hands and then leave without washing their hands. I mean come on, just slap on a bit of soap and just wash it down with water. So that is why I think keyboards are dirtier than toilets, because people come with unwashed hands from the toilet and type on the keyboards.

Yes i have heard that too.I try to clean them quite often.Usually keyboard and the cell phone.I know that the remote control has the most microbes!!I have cleaned it twice!!We touch it all day, leving it on our pillow...I believe that we should wash our hands many times a day and then ,not in an every day situstion, to clean all the other stuff in our home. It's for our health!!

I've heard this statistic too. We automatically think that toilet seats would be dirtier, but really, things that we touch with our hands are often a LOT more dirty and infected. I've also heard that doorknobs have the same thing going on. Lysol Disinfectant spray works pretty well for me; but I rarely clean my keyboard. I should probably consider doing that in the future. There are disinfectant sprays you can buy specifically for keyboards, but I haven't invested in any yet. . I guess I don't mind having a germy keyboard.
