NEW drug out for FIBROMYALGIA!! This month!!

it got okayed and is suppose to be in the pharmacies this month (march)!! im so excited.. even though im scared of trying something new i figure i have to try since if it did help i would never forgive myself for missing out!!
are you excited about the new hope in this drug? how long do you think i should wait before i get ahold of my fibro doctor to see if he will prescribe it to me??

I have several friends with fibromyalgia and this will be wonderful news. It's only been a few years since doctors would actually admit that there really was such a disease because the symptoms are so erratic. One thing I read about last month is that recent studies are showing that people with FM should stay away from flourescent lights, expecially the new compact flourescents, because that will aggravate the condition. That's also bad for people with Lupus.

really?? does that mean those energy saving bulbs are bad?? great! i just changed my whole house over to them!

Yeah, that's what they said about Lyrica. That stuff put me into a total drunken stupor so bad I couldn't even write let alone talk or drive. I'm not trying anymore prescription meds. I'm happy with the ones I'm on and the supplements. Have you tried Magnesium with Malic Acid (known here as Mag-Citrate)? It's great for pain.

no i havent.. and yeah lyrica screwed me up BAD!! but this one i think works totally different.. of course i guess we will have to wait and see.. i may wait awhile to see if any lawsuits come out of it lol.. lyrica got slammed with them in the first six months
