Hope no body will say me to vote about this.....I love my India more than Cricket....India needs free and fair elections..... and what are you saying in one comment that IPL organizers could not postponed because of the tight international schedule....who told them to postponed they should better scrap the tournament..but they can not do that because some film stars who never played cricket wants to earn money by cricket....and then everybody was sure after the no confidence motion in July last that the election will be held in April...and still these guys go ahead..... Democracy is the best institution to run a state and it can not sustain without election...and for God sake don't say that you don't need election.....

But was it a good idea projecting India as a unsafe nation, not safe enough to manage a tournament because its going through elections. What if now we form a govt and it collapses near the commonwealth games scheduled next year, so then we have to postpone the commonwealth games or move it to another country, because of elections taking place at same time. Its a worst decision by this govt. to move IPl out of country, Elections are by far more important than IPl, but it doesn't mean hurting the image of nation by projecting it as unsafe.

I know letting IPL out of India is a very big setback but it is only cricket and elections decide future ( well theoretically but in fact all are same, who so ever get elected they would empty Govt coffers and hog all the money) but i would still go for elections rather than cricket and i dont understand why BCCI has to make it an ego issue and can not hold it after elections?

They can't postpone further because international players will have to go for their national duties. If they do, then many international players will have to leave halfway through.

Friend IPL is not important but elections are important because if we select a best candidate then our future will be bright and we can enjoy full democracy but now i don't believe any party because each and every party is warned by election commission for violation of code and each member of party are using peoples money and political parties wasting public money as water. In India BJP is against muslims which i don't like because India is a democratic country and congress i don't like congress government because it did nothing for public and the sons and brothers of political party ministers are misusing the ruling party rights and doing illegal things. Iam from Andhra Pradesh i like chandra babu Naidu(TElugu desham party) and praja rajam (Chiranjee vi) and i will give vote for TDP( chandra babu naidu party) because he developed my telugu state well and Praja Rajam is new and i too think this party can do best too. But congress government did nothing for our andhra pradesh state and the heavan and crown of andhra prahesh (HITECH CITY) which was developed by chandra babu naidu was now not developed by congress "My Right to Vote,Vote goes to "Telugu desham party"

no doubt there.elections.it is something that can change the course of a nation theoritically.IPL is some money making business using criket as a tool.thats all.besides if a country cannot conduct elections it would be a national shame on the international arena whereas IPL is just a domestic tournament .i still stick to my point.IPL just plain sucks

hii minfas, Elections are more important than IPl, no second thoughts about that, but this doesn't mean we project ourselves as unsafe country, which the current govt. did by saying its not possible for it to ensure the safety. Now how will any country trust India on security reasons when there athletes will travel here for commonwealth games. No matter what, the IPl should not have gone out of country, specially not on the reason of security. This govt. has projected our nation as unsafe and hurted its image worldwide, they really need to be taught a lesson, which public will surely do in elections. happy myling friend

I'm not really sure as I am in the United States. I hope they choose whatever is best for the people and the sport.
