I have an Athlon X2 5000+ 2.6GHz dual core, for computer gaming and graphics processing, I choose AMD. It is much cheaper and guaranteed to its performance and quality. I compared to e2140 and it really distinguish what is more reliable and faster cpu in terms budgeted computer package. My games run faster with AMD.

I have Intel on my desktop and Amd on my laptop which is a newer computer by a couple of years. For the types of things that I use both for, I havn't really noticed much difference. I don't use the laptop much so it may be at a disadvantage for reaching any kind of comparison or opinion.

My first PC was a celeron 667... My second was a sempron 2800 socket A! bought a X2 3800 939 and now have a E5200! for me intel is better than AMD per performance... for HTPC or fanless pc amd is the best!

I have an AMD processor machine at my home. and in office it is intel processor. its up to ur usability. if u wanna to use more graphical software's then u can go for AMD. as AMD can give more and better graphics than Intel. and if u just wanna to use it daily no need of higher graphics then have a intel one. Thanks a lot for topic. Have a gr8 day ahead.

AMD Sempron or AMD Series processors are fast, it is best suited for gaming computer, AMD Series heats up rapidly that's why water coolers or MSI are needed to support the processor and prevent it from overheating. INTEL Processors are good at offices and home offices, they don't heat up too much, but the speed is not that fast compared to an AMD processor.... I am using INTEL Core 2 Due processor in my house and at the office, I'm not that really concerned about gaming, but i want my computer to be as fast as possible, hehehe that's why i always upgrade my computer parts....
