For favorite movies I have five. Something's Gotta Give, Love and Basketball, Kissing Jessica Stein, Supersize Me and the animated version of Robin Hood by Disney. I used to watch it every week when I was a kid. I wore out three video tapes! I saw it for old time's sake on the Disney channel and still knew every word. Now on to why I like each movie. I like Something's Gotta Give because Harry and Erica, two people who "Think they have life beat" Really find each other and evolved into better people because of it. I wish life worked that way but it doesn't, at least not for me as of yet. Love and Basketball, you wouldn't think I would like this movie, I hate basketball as a sport but somehow I got drawn into the story of Monica and Q. They have to find a balance between love of the sport and love of each other. They find it, they lose it, they find it again. Again, I wish life worked that way, but no such luck. I like Kissing Jessica Stein because it's a great coming out movie. As one of my assistants is just going through that phase, and her parents are behaving badly about it, oh boy can I relate to that! I think that she will enjoy the movie and realize that people eventually do get over their homophobic predispositions. It might be helpful. Supersize Me is a movie, in case you've been living under a rock, about a guy who does nothing but eat only McDonald's food for thirty days. He has some pretty scary heart problems and gains thirty or so pounds. This movie made McDonald's stop being my comfort food. Now I only eat it at ADAPT because I have no other choice. That's what they feed us. To be honest, I ate McDonalds when I had a choice to eat something else once since that movie. I used to eat at McDonald's at least twice a month during non-ADAPT times. The animated version of Robin Hood was my first exposure, in a weird way, with the activist film. I know it wasn't designed to be a politically motivated film, it's by Disney for kids after all, but it really affected me to want to help people and to know about right and wrong. Now that I am older, of course I have learned that the world isn't that black and white, but I still remember how that movie changed my life. And so, as they say, an organizer was born.

I think my all time favorite movie is Equilibrium. It stars Christian Bale (the guy from Batman, I think). It's been a long time since I last saw it but when I did, I watched it over and over again many times for a couple of weeks - and that's saying something because I'm not the type who likes re-watching movies :) I liked it because I like the concept of the movie. It suggested an alternative society and how people tried to break away from it. Thanks for the response on my discussion!
