With all of the problems going on these days, with people loosing homes and jobs, I am sure there are some of you who have been worried about this, and just barely scraping by as well. I know we are, and somedays Pray extra hard just to be able to make ends meet as well. Hopefully you are not homeless, and posting from a Shelter or the Library wondering when this will all end for you as well. But I have been homeless in the past, and what a learning experience it is as well. You really can learn and grow a lot when you are homeless especially when you are trying to learn ways to get you back on your feet as well. I know there are shelters and such out there but it is what you do from there that counts. All I can say if you have been homeless, or are, hopefully you will not have to be homeless that long. I know that for me Praying and Trusting God is one thing that helps me get thru things in life as well. Wishing you the Best. ~~TINA~~

Yes, I have been homeless in the past and I have stayed everywhere from hotels to shelters to literally living under a bridge. It was an experience that I will never forget and either will my son, who now is a great advocate for the homeless population at only 12 years old. We have come a long way since then, but even though we count our blessings, know with certainty that we should never take what we have for granted because it can happen again at anytime through situations that we may not have much control over.

Yes, I often feel that those who have been homeless before are often the ones that are most Thankful later on when they are back on their feet. I am glad to hear of your son wanting to be an advocate and get help for those less fortunate. Everyone needs someone like him.

Well, things are getting tight everywhere. I have friends who have recently lost jobs, and hopefully by the Grace of God will be able to keep their homes as well. When you see places for sale getting really cheap anymore it really makes you wonder when things are going to get better. Wishing you the Best.

No, I have never been homeless. I have lived in a house where utilities were repeatedly turned off, and food was in short supply. I have lived in houses where we have been foreclosed, and evicted. All of that was as a child. Now they cannot turn off utilities in the winter, then, they could. Now, there are food banks, then there were not. I have had utilities cut off, one or another, including having the gas shut off by choice for five months, once, just to get back on our feet. I am doing okay now, and so is hubby. We are much more fortunate than many.

I am thankful to the Lord for I have never been homeless, Of course, the idea of being hopeless nowadays really is alarming but we should trust God completely.

It is really sad to know that there are homeless people out there. I have not experience such, but working with rescue, I have responded to fire victims and have seen how difficult it is to live without a home. But as you have said, whatever the problem may be, let us always reflect and pray. Surely, a solution will come our way.

Fortunately I have never been homeless, and I am very pleased about that. I imagine it is much easier than most people realise for this to happen. If we lose our job and struggle to find another one soon then the bills can soon outpace our income, so even the best control of our finances will not avoid the inevitable. It must be extremely difficult to start again because it is not just the home that no longer exists, it means that we will have virtually no possessions because there is nowhere to store them. Eventually finding a new job and home will be the start of a long and difficult journey trying to replenish house contents etcetera.

No, but my family and I were very close to it. I feel bad for people who are homeless. They should not be. They should want better and have better.

No, I haven't ever been homeless. However, I have lost a home that I loved due to some money problems. My husband is currently not working and I am living in home that I am not fond of,but it is a roof over my head and I am not on the streets. I feel sorry for anyone that is homeless and wish that I could start a program to bring money in for families that are homeless, but don't know how to start one. I am thankful for what I have and don't wish for things that I know that I can't have. God Bless those who are homeless.

Thank God, I have never been homeless, things are touch and go for me right now because I just recently lost my job at the age of 58. I was blessed to have raised my children and they are out on their own and doing good. My home is paid for because I purchased it when I was in my 20's. I am very pleased that I didn't do what the Jones did. Just about every one else in the neighborhood got a second mortgage and had rooms and garages built on to their home and they are still paying on these mortgages. I pray for all of us. I am happy for the ones that were homeless but now have a roof over their heads. And pray the ones that doesn't soon get a home.

I have never been homeless and I pray that never happens. I can't imagine what it is like for so many people right now. I've come close though. My wife had to help me get things back under control.
