Promote

This is the problem with self-publishing. There is no one to help you market the book, and trust me, selling books in this economic climate is a lot harder than writing them. I would suggest that you get a book on the topic from Amazon or your local library as a starting point. Next I would suggest that you develop some type of promotional item (postcard, flyer) and buy a list. Yes, you can purchase lists of names of people...just like the major corporations do. The list you want will be targeted to people who are interested in your topic. I don't know if those sorts of groups sell email addresses...that might be an option as well. In the meantime, you have got to try and publicize the book as much as you can. Write articles that link to your book. Contact people who are interested in the same subject matter. Somehow, you have got to find your audience. That's the key to selling it. Good luck.
