What should Sharon Bucks look like?

My Sharon Bucks submission - Artificially generated face
Canada
April 3, 2009 2:18am CST
I confess I snagged one of the tasks for creating a Sharon Bucks avatar and the pay was for $3.75. I spent some time on making a computer generated face considering she is just a computer generated personality. However I was disappointed to receive a rejection with the note that you could do better. So I wasted my time essentially and got nothing. I see there still is no avatar for Sharon Bucks. Did anyone doing the task get accepted and paid? What do you think Sharon Bucks' avatar should look like? To the myLot members who got the task, I showed you mine, now you show me yours.

I did the Sharon Bucks Icon task, I think it is the same one. Mine is still pending, so I guess the winner has not been decided yet. I went a different direction and just did a logo design with her name. I don't think it will win but I guess I will have to wait and see. I am very anxious to see the winning design. I like your approach and I think they should not have rejected it, but maybe returned it and told you what they would like you to improve.

Good thing yours is still pending. My submission was not a return it was a reject . I was thinking she is supposed to be a 28 year old American female according to her profile which is more or less what I made her. I tried to make her multi-racial because they are catering to a world wide audience. Maybe I should have made her white with blond hair and blue eyes, she probably looks too black and her hair is too short. I hate these kinds of competitions. They always seem to pick something that has nothing to do with the subject. Like here in Orillia they had a golf course they wanted to name and had a competition. The winner was Hawk Ridge. There is no ridge remotely near the place and there are no hawks within miles unless they just happen to fly by. It makes it sound like a wilderness area and it is actually a new ritzy subdivision with huge huge lots with fancy houses, and of course a golf course. Another one was for a high speed ferry from Canada to USA and they picked "The Breeze". Lake Ontario and a ferry has nothing to do with breezes. I had entered this contest and suggested Thayendanegea which was the indian name fo Joseph Brant who was a historical figure in that specific area. Thayendanegea or Joseph Brant (c. 1743 – 24 November 1807) was a Mohawk leader and British military officer during the American Revolution. Brant was perhaps the most well-known North American Indian of his generation. He met many of the most significant people of the age, including George Washington and King George III. The American folk image emphasized the wartime atrocities his forces committed against settlers in the Mohawk Valley; in Canada, he was remembered for his efforts to regain land for the Mohawk people.-wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_Brant

Sharon Bucks - I see we have a winner for the Sharon Bucks competition.
Is this yours? If so congratulations. If not did you get paid? I will not comment as to the suitability as I am always dissapointed when I do not win a contest.

Personally I missed this one. I wish that I would have seen this one though as I think it would have been interesting. And what did the winner get? $3.75?? I would think they should be allowed some recognition if they are still active here as doind something like that, and then being chosen for it, that is a blessing in iteself for sure.

Wow, you submitted this 5 months ago? I have not seen an avatar for Sharon Bucks. I guess that is one of those tasks that is still pending.

Yes they did pick an avatar, see my second reply in post #1. It is a green rectangle with the S's in Sharon Bucks name made into $ signs. I have rather given up on trying to predict what artistic values some people have. I think the avatar could have been better, but my opinion always seem to differ from the mainstream.

I think what annoyed me was that they not only rejected my submission and I did not get paid thus wasting my time, but they threw in an insult as well, then picked that rather lame green thing. I think they could have done better.
