Requiem for a Dream: book or the movie.

I recently read 'Requiem for a Dream', a book which took me a long time to read, not because it was long, but it was so painful to read, in a good way. If you have read the book, I would love to hear your opinion on this. I personally think both are equal, they both send out a powerful message, and they both execute it perfectly. The book, however, is written in a way which has no dialogue, and is basically written in a stream-of-conscienceness style.

I never knew there was a book either. I loved the movie. Its intensity drew me in, and the way they show the real side of that world.

Hmm, I never even knew their was a book. The movie was so weird I can't even imagine how the book would be. I will look for it on audio. The movie was interesting, but very very weird.
