Hehe, yeah lil 3 year olds are a very hard to get to bed. My friend told me that she has finally figured how to get these adrenalin/sugar rushed kids to fall asleep with ease. She told me to play with them till they get really tired. Sometimes she asks her brother to play rough games with them til they can't stand anymore. It was effective for some time. But eventually what happened was her brother was the first to get really tired too and later on he refused to play with her child. Then she tried carrying her child and tried to sing him a lullaby. Her child did fell asleep, but when she placed him in his bed, the child woke up again and started playing again. So finally she just ignored it and she put out the lights and amazingly her child went to bed in this manner. So that's what she does every time it's bed time for the kids. Hope this works for you.

Try to use music to put him to sleep. Maybe all he needs is a soothing melody to help him journey through slumberland. Music is what I always use to help me sleep. It's just relaxing and it makes my mind at ease.
