Hi myLotters! How's your eating habits? Do you eat full meal 3 times a day? What are the meals that you usually take? Have you considered becoming a vegetarian!? If so, what do you think are the best preparations for this? Do you think you can do it abruptly? Do you think there will be health issues if one decided to be a vegetarian? I am thinking of becoming one but you know, there are so many delicious foods out there! LOL! And I'm sure this one needs a lot of discipline and I am lacking in that area. HAHAHA! MyLotters, please share your thoughts on this. Happy MyLotting!

I can only tell you from my experience. Currently I am a vegetarian but in the past I have gone through some wicked meat eating sessions but have ALWAYS come back to vegetarianism. The last bout of meat eating I think was that I was playing off my boyfriend who happens to be an avid steak--no every meat thing lover--and I am always the one cooking the steak. But I gave that up about two months ago (again) because my blood pressure nearly went through the roof and Im sure my smoking like a smoke stack didnt help either. I was eating steak every day it was just insane. Now Im back to eating vegetables and this time has been different because I started eating "Herb Salad" mixes and they are just sooo satisfying to me. I also crave processed foods so much less to nearly non existent and am starting to feel differently even about cooking my vegetables. I've read that if you reduce these foods and replace them with raw foods (which would be my salads) that you begin to taste these foods so much more--guess your taste buds are working because theres not all the overstimulating sugar and salt but Im really enjoying it. Currently I just love eating red peppers and cut em up like snacks. Another added perk, although I went into it this time without the obsessive worry of losing weight--I did lose my gut entirely, thats amazing because Ive been trying to lose that thing since I had my kids going on almost 5 years ago. But if your diet consist of mostly meat and processed foods (processed, no shortage of food there) then your not really giving your body a fighting chance and your body naturally wants to heal itself and I think if you incorporate vitamins such as dark leafy salads EVERYDAY your body will be so much more satisfied. A typical salad for me is my: Herb Mix, sliced red pepper, green pepper, avocado diced, sunflower oil, a couple tablespoons of organic whole dressing, grape tomatoes sliced in half (these really add SO much flavor), sliced red onion (I personally like alot and dont mind the onion breath),thinly sliced carrots and a salad topping (flax seed and coconut with sunflower seeds). There is so many variations of this salad you can make such as adding hummus on top.

Hi revellanotvanella! Wow! Thanks for responding. And for sharing your vegetable meal! I love salads too. But it seems that its really hard for me to eat salads all the time because of the temptations around. My family is not a vegetarian and they really used to eat meats. They cook meat most of the time. And its like I have no choice but to eat it. I don't go to the market and buy vegetables, my mom does. She buys veggies but they usually serve veggies with meat. So its really hard. It takes alot of discipline. Anyway, thanks again. Marked best response! =)

I think my eating habits are fine and normal to be honest :) yeah, i do eat all 3 meals every single day, as its important and keeps you going, also i would hate if i missed out a meal, i have breakfast, dinner, tea and supper everyday so thats 4 meals i have. Yeah, i sometimes consider becoming a vegetarian because the only meat i eat now is chicken, but i do enjoy eating it because its tasty, although i hate where it all comes from :(. I don't really know if there would be any health issues if i decided to become a vegetarian, but im not too sure really, im undecided at the moment.

Hi xhaylea! I think if you are used to eating full 3 meals a day (you eat 4 meals), i think it would be very hard for you to be a vegetarian. But you still can, its just that you have to do it very timely.

For the last 3 monthes I've been pretty much a vegetarian. I've had 2 cheeseburgers in that time (both made at home and cooked on a grill) and small bits of meat in things like chef's salad and chicken soup. I find that I don't really miss the meat anymore and in fact I don't really want it anymore. It is hard to make dishes without meat b/c it's such a big part of ppl's meals. I find I'm eating more veggies, fruits and grains. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

Yeah you're right, as much as possible no meat. If e can't make it in becoming a vegetarian, at least lessen the meat. Thanks arthamandiri!
