Have you ever been a moderator for a website?

I have been moderator for a few forums. it was a non profit forums, like harry potter role playing forums. fan websites. i personally think its a lot more fun being a member then being an admin, but if your getting paid for it, then go for it.

I'm also a moderator for a commercial site which sells daily cosmetics products. The duty is very simple, I'm in charge of observing any activity concering product updates and removes, online client care, security, maintenance service,...Of course I don't have to manipulate all by myself, I just keep tracks of and verify the reports that my downline agents send to me.

That is pretty awesome! Glad to hear it and congrats to you. I have been trying for the last 2 years to be a moderator for a website. I haven't been successful as of yet. Congrats on the position. I have been a mod for a few sites. Just monitoring forums and such but it is a moderator job so I guess it counts.

You can ask them. You are spending time on their site to help them , so you have the right to ask.

Im a moderator for our highschool website. Basically our job is just making sure everyone is invited and informed on the happenings of our site. Its free so im not 100% on it. You better check if you get anything from being a moderator since its a site that involves money you should get something in return for your time. goodluck!
