my tips are to add your link to your blog on your profiles such as mylot profile aol etc, i also use business cards if you go to vistaprint they are free all you do is pay shipping and handling, you can mail them out with your bills or leave them at tables when you go out to eat, give them to friends etc.

I personally have a bad experience with blogs. I tried thrice but got discouraged due to zero earnings and almost nil traffic even after months of hard work.But you can keep on trying my friend....try hosting it to a traffic exchange site and you will reap the benefits.
