I've taken photographs for 20 years and belonged to a camera club, too. I improved my technique a lot by seeing other photographers' works. At one time I thought I'd like a career in photography, but then I decided it would take all the fun out of it. So I continue to take photographs to document where I go and what I see, and also to challenge myself to get the "best" shot. So far, I don't manipulate any of my photos, even through I have the software. Some day I might learn how to make collages or do something else artistic to display my photos.

If you are amateur photographer then you can send all the photos to website. There are some sites which give International recognition to some photos. They also give money for that photos.

Thanks for the suggestion. I checked on myLot about adding photos, and I have to wait until I have 500 points before I can. I haven't been able to find out how they pay, though. I've looked at other sites to see if I can sell photographs, but I need to read through the information about each one before I decide.

Yes. Capturing moments are rare. I always have my camera with me. And yes, I do capture a lot of moments and especially the ones that are really rare to see. There is one picture of a friend of mine, she doesn't smile, infront of the camera, that is why I got a stolen shot of her smiling. You know the real smile. Hehehe.

It's odd, but you know, to truly capture a moment, you have to release yourself; give yourself to that moment. It changes who you are.

I love taking pictures too. They serve as souvenirs for the precious moments in our life. They serve as the only gateway of us reminiscing our past and our great days. Photos are helpful in telling stories to the next generation. So I really value photography because they make our life more meaningful and colorful. I always bring my husband's digicam when we go out so that we could take photos.

I agree with you on this. And not everyone has an eye for photography. It simply means that taking shots is a talent. If you have the gift, then by all means share to the world your talent. Take as much photo as you can and always share it with us. Goodluck.
