photobug responded to a discussion called What is squiddoo in squidoo.com.
I joined Squidoo about a year ago and haven't made much money - maybe $5 a month. I have 42 lenses (web pages) and about 450 visitors a week (to all of them). But Squidoo doesn't pay based on traffic. It pays on activity, such as link click outs, comments, or other things. This link gives more information. http://www.squidoo.com/paymentfaq I'm sure some people make a lot of money, but I t...

photobug responded to a discussion called Made A Sale On My Squidoo Lens in squidoo.com.
Yes, I use Squidoo and have 40 lenses. I started out making lenses on subjects I like. Sometimes I got a lot of traffic and other times I didn't. I sure haven't made much from Squidoo's Google Ads. The most I ever made in one month was $5. They have changed the ad system and I don't care for the link ads at all (the underlined links in green). I've removed them from all my lenses. I haven't dec...

photobug responded to a discussion called Which do you prefer? in reading.
I use a computer for emailing, searching for information, and writing my blog and squidoo web pages, but I don't want to read for pleasure on a computer screen. I love reading a book (usually paperback)and sitting in a lawn chair, or stretched out on my bed or couch. I read every day and have boxes of books to choose from. I go to thrift shops and buy older books for a cheap price. Once in a wh...

photobug responded to a discussion called photo retouch program in photography.

I agree that Photoshop Elements is an excellent program and is much less expensive that the full version. Very few people really need the full version. You might also want to try Gimp, which is a free photo editor www.gimp.org I haven't tried Gimp, so I don't know if it's difficult to use. But Photoshop Elements is inexpensive (you might even find earlier versions at lower prices on Amaz...

photobug responded to a discussion called Is it possible to find rich people around the globe? in people.

I like money, of course, but I would never choose a friend only because he had money. Of course, many people think the way you do. Both men and women often become lovers with someone rich or marry only for money. They want an expensive lifestyle more than a nice relationship. We each have our own morals and interests. I think it would be a lonely life for the poorer person to have to ca...

photobug responded to a discussion called I Need Christmas presnet Ideas! in people.
It depends on how long you've known your boyfriend, but how about a photograph or a photo album? You can give a framed photograph of yourself, one of the two of you, or put together a small album with photos of you and him with your friends and write comments next to the photos (date, place, what you were doing). Or how about something just for fun - like harmonicas you can both learn to pla...

photobug responded to a discussion called What is the most unique gift you have ever got? in people.
Several years ago, a group of people I work with went out to lunch in late November. We were all talking about Christmas when we were children. I mentioned that I got so excited on Christmas Eve, it was hard for me to wait until it was time to go to bed. I always got a new box of crayons and a new coloring book and I carefully colored each page of the book to pass the time. A couple of weeks...

photobug commented in a discussion called What is squiddoo in squidoo.com.

Yes, I noticed your discussion began 4 months ago, but hardly anyone comments on Squidoo, so I thought I'd answer. Maybe someone else is wondering about it. I need to get back in the habit of logging onto myLot every day, even if it's just to make one post. I haven't been on the site in quite a while.

photobug received a best response in the discussion Why do my views keep decreasing? by moonchild1au.

Squidoo counts views for the last seven days. So the number changes each new day of the week. When you're in your Dashboard, click on the tab to "My Stats" and then click on one of your lenses. You can view the Summary, Traffic, and Royalties. Under Traffic, you can choose to see the traffic from Today, Yesterday, Past 7 Days, or Past 30 Days. I look at my traffic, too, although I know it's ...

What If You Had to Evacuate Your Home?

If you had to evacuate your home due to a wildfire, flood, hurricane, or other reason, what would you take with you? Let's say you could only take what you could fit into a car.

Adding photographs to myLot to earn more money

Does anyone know what size photos you need to upload them to myLot? I know I need to have 500 points first. I have quite a few digital photos, but I also have a lot of 35mm slides I can scan.

Referring people to myLot

If I refer friends to myLot and they sign up but don't participate much, does that count against me with my points or payment?

Traveling to other cities or countries

I just read a great quote: "Travelers never think that THEY are the foreigners". Have you ever complained about a place you're visiting because it's not like home? Or do you really enjoy experiencing...
