I'm 27 yrs old, and babysit a few kids in my neighborhood, as well as some of their friends kids. what is the going rate for babysitting? 2-3 dollars an hr seems to be what I get....If I have the child all day long 6:30-2ish I get paid about 20/day. I live in Utah, and just wonder if thats the norm around other parts of the country or world I guess. Thanks!

I get about $8-$9 an hour, Im 24 and not licensed. You should be getting more for your age and experience. Im in Illinois.

I have not had to pay for full time childcare in a few years, but I was paying between $65-$100 a week for full time care for a then 4-7 year old and that was at licensed and unlicensed places. I live in Missouri and the average now is around $100-$120. There are some preschool type centers that are close to $300 though.
