Does anybody collect them? I have about 40 books and 5 folders of recipes that I have printed from the internet. I read online somewhere that one person had over 3,000 cook books, some of them antique. I would love to collect cook books like that!

Don't know how many I do actually own but I know its probably close to 200, sometimes when I am feeling down I like to sit next to my bookcase at the bottom of the stairs and have a good long rummage and read of a few. I am mostly interested in Herbs and spices and the health benefits of such things if taken with food but it does depend on my mood. I have my baking days, bread mostly but biscuits and cakes also, then I have my casserole and stew days. If I had nothing else to do I would be quite happy spending one hour looking for ideas and then another couple of hours cooking what I had thought up.

I collect vintage cookbooks, and so far i have about 200 of them, most of them are from the early 1900's to about 1950. I usually find then at the flea market, or at garage sales where i can pick them up at a price that i can afford them.
