If you are a successful politician you can earn name & fame a lot.If you are a successful politician you can earn money a lot(need not be white). If you are a successful politician you can get a lot of well wishers & get a lot of people to do your work. So with all these in mind if you were given a chance would you like to become a politician?

Not really. Meaning politicians really don't earn all that much money in comparison to say sports stars or celebrities. I just heard the other night, that the Governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin who was running as VP candidate here in the US earns about $125,000 a year as opposed to that woman on Saturday Night Live, Tina Fey who impersonated Sarah Palin and earned over $3-MILLION last year. So if I wanted fame and fortune I'd rather be in the entertainment business....LOL

Sarah Palin's official earnings would be that much only but just think of the wealth made unofficially?Thay cant show how much they make but they would have money much more than anyone else.Celebrities are an exception. Do you have the tact to succeed as a politician?Instead of toskywidrocket with your typing its toskywidrocket with speeches to succeed as a politician.

Do I have tact to be a politician? Well, no matter what I always try to be diplomatic, even here with my responses to people, even if it's something I don't necessarily agree on. Mmm....if I were a politician and gave speeches as long as my written stuff, I would definitely need a teleprompter to remember everything...LOL

Only becoming politician you can't do much. It is the post you need to change something like Anil kapoor did in the movie "Nayak" by becoming the chief minister for a single day. It is not fully possible as shown in the movie but even 10% will be enough.

The other side of story is that if I am a politician then I can never say that I am honest because one day or another one leader would blame at me. No matter how honest I am people would still try to find ways to mix dirt with my name. So, I am happy to be away from politics. thanks for asking. But you didn't disclose your option? Would you like to be a politician if given a chance?

If you have to become a politician then you remove the word HONESTY from your dictionary..hahaha.If you are HONEST then you will be left in the sidelines. If you are HONEST the better way is to take REST instead of thinking politics. My option? Well I would want to be a politician defenitely. You can get the things done(whatever it may be).But you have to manage the people's curses on you.You cant satisfy all.Its just about you & your power which comes into play if you are a politician but what about the curse of the people? So thinking that I would never become a politician.

yes, if given a chance a would like to but the motivation will not be because of money and fame because they will just follow. i would like to serve the constituents as honestly and sincerely as possible, to the best of my ability. i may not be as well known as others but as long as i was able to serve the people with all my heart then that would be something great for me.

Well Krupesh, there is a saying that politics is the last resort of the rogues. Not because of the slur that I do not want to become one right now for there are more politicking people there and few politicians. Politicians are the learned people and know about a good governance but in India if you look at the MLAs and most MPs you will find them politicking creatures who know nothing but to misuse power. And they know one thing for certain and that is making money through corrupt way. Yes I would be happy to be a hand in running the nation's Governmental machinery but now the situation is not conducive at least for me and therefore I wont.

You can do whatever you want to if you are a party in the running Government. As you say these MLAs & MPs are here just to make money. When is the change for India?Do you see that happening in the near future? When do the people learn? How to impart them with whom to vote & whom not to?

Actually politician don't have big salary. I believe here, (Philippines)senators and president salary is not more than 50t pesos. They become rich because of those pork barrels or those money that they corrupt from the people. So as for me, i will never dream nor be a politician if given the chance. Reasons, your life and your family's life is always in danger, i don't want big responsibilities, i hate to disappoint someone, much more the people around me or my country, there are lots of reason why i don't want to be one. and also there are lots of ways how to help your country man or your constituents.

A big NO. Even if I get the fame or the money, it's a very big responsibility. Even the little mistakes in your area can give you a big stain on your reputation. Besides, I don't trust in politicians nowadays. A lot, not all of them, has been doing very bad lately.

Politics is a field I didn't dreamed of venturing. If I have funds to help people then I'll collaborate with non-government organizations and not join politics. Helping people is my definition of politics but getting into it in my opinion could corrupt your cause and can lead you astray. But I still believe that there are good politicians out there.

Hello,Krupesh! I don't like to be a politician because now a days the status of the politician has been reduced to getting shoes from the public. It was rightly said by some political thinker that the politics is the last refuge of the greatest scoundrels. It is true in Indian politics.Almost 30% of our political leaders are criminals and they enter in to politics just to avoid criminal actions against them and they have been successful in most of the cases. This is the reason why gentlemen don't like to join politics in India. So I would not join politics at any cost.thanx.

If given a chance, I'd like too but not necessarily to have all those you enumerated. First, I know I can be a good leader and manager for my constituents. Second, I am sure I will not be corrupt as like many of the politicians we have in our country today. I will really look for means to improve our place and always do things for the common good. I am not really on the fame or earning a lot of money. I don't think I can bring those things to afterlife. But the improvements I can do will surely be enjoyed by my kids and the next generations.

no, never, not even if i had to do it all over again...you know what i hate the most about being a politician...You'd have to think politically and logically despite your own personal views and you can't even be yourself around people. I'ver never even dreamed of becoming a politician...I just don't think that it suits me, and i don't have that 'omph' in me to be a successful one at that..haha ^_^

If i get a chance i want to bring back black money from swiss bank and use this money for needy peoples.I too want to join hands with America and Britain to kill all terrorist and get internal and external freedom to peoples of our country and maintain world peace. Then only i get name, fame.Iam a true lover of my country and i too want to join politics but i am poor and cannot spend money as politicians are spending there black money for buying votes.

Not a chance. All politicians know how to do are tell lies to get you to vote for them and then they prove that they lied to you in the beginning. They get money from large companies to push the companies interests, instead of the people who put them in office.

I would definitely say NO! I'm not a born leader. I'm more of a team player. So I bet I won't make a good politician.

Probably not. I'd rather be a philantropist. Politician has a bad ring to me, and I personally don't like their clan.
