I did it, and they said it couldn't be done!

A few weeks ago I planted my tomato seeds and they are growing well. At about the same time, I planted a few rhubarb seeds that I harvested from my neighbor's plant last fall. Several people told me I wouldn't be able to start rhubarb from a seed but I have a nice little plant growing now. I know I won't get any harvest from it for a couple years, but I am very proud of myself.

So far so good. I don't think we will get pie this year. LOL. Patience though... it is actually supposed to take at least two years for the rhubarb to be mature enough to harvest.

Wow! That is nice! Congratulations! I always wanted to plant flowers or any plant however, living in the city has its limitations. I am so happy for you.

You can grow tomatoes in flower pots on your porch or patio. For that matter you can make little garden boxes and plant easy things like leaf lettuce or herbs.

Good for you i planted some rhubarb last year from seed, and it did good.....It has already started to come back again this year and the plants are already bigger than they were last year.

Well done. I thought it wasn't possible to grow rhubarb from seed! I thought you had to plant a 'crown' I think they call it.
