What is culture? How does society work?

Society is an abstract idea. You can't touch it or smell it. Is it to do with ownership?, materialism, or is it about relationships? Does it mean you have responsibilities? Do you think human beings are naturally social animals, or do we only have society because it is forced upon us by some set of laws? Do you feel better for being in some way a part of a community, or is it some kind of obligation you have to put up with?

Killer question. . As humans, I think we naturally crave order of some sort. I actually like having laws and some sort of order - and I feel like even if we didn't have a government creating & enforcing our society, we would most likely make them ourselves. We need order in life. Anarchy just wouldn't work. Technically, being a society/community member is an obligation - that you don't really have any choice in - but I feel like if we DID have a choice in the matter, we would most likely want to be part of it anyway. *shrugs*. What a difficult question to answer! Good job!
