i recently got a compliment that i had a smiling face......i somehow felt very nice........i never thought that i means anything to me whether i get a compliment from anyone or i don't.but it did actually made me feel good about myself......it made me feel happy and good for around a day.again today my boss told me that he had the confidence in me that i was capable of handling things very well.......i felt really very very good hen he said that....
do compliments actually effect a person so much?????
does it matter to everybody?????
i thought that i dint care for being praised....
has it ever happened to you that you thought that you never cared for being praised but when you actually got a compliment you felt really very good?????????

Compliment really make me feel good. Being recognize for job well done gives me inspiration on my field or career. It's make me work more harder with thinking that i wanted to do more better than my previous task.

I always feel good whenever I am given a compliment. I love to hear it from other people because it means that I am effective and efficient. I usually had lots of compliments during my college days and when I was working. Now the only person who gives me such compliment is my husband because he is the only one I am with at home. Anyway I still feel better because those compliments came from his heart and he just loves me so much. I used to give compliments more than I receive. Because I know that compliments, if given in right way and sincere way can give confidence to the recipient and it can boost their morale and attitude.

Compliments do make me feel good when it is said honestly. I remember the last time I got compliment was at the poker table and got respect from people, they commented me I played good and respected it. I felt good of that because I have been learning how to play and finally get people agree. Also, I feel happy most of the time when people likes my cooking and say they are very tasty and want more! And I feel happy when people say I'm pretty as well! :-p

That would depend on who and why I receive the compliments. Sometimes compliments are just compliments, good word. Sometimes it's more like sarcasm and hidden evil secret (you know what I meant) If it's genuine, of course I am happy. I might feel awkward a bit but I feel good.

Yes it feels good. I feel shy whenever i got a complement coz i dont know how to react. I just dont agree somtimes but i feel flattered inside.

A sincere compliment from the right person in the right way can change everything!
I wrote my first article for an assignment and I thought my tutor would laugh at it; instead the piece came back with top marks and a comment that said' "You should look to have this published". That was the best compliment ever and if it wasn't for that initial praise I probably would have lacked the confidence to finish the course let alone submit something for publication.

Definitely yes, almost every feels good when you hear a good compliment about you, it's our human nature and its very normal to us. Being happy can't be measure by any wealth, richness, fame, etc... its a very special moments in our lives that can't never be taken away. Life is short, i think to make it worth while why not share all goodness with others and instead being a part of problem, why not be a part of solution. We live only once and pass will never come back but doing good to others and to yourself as well may fulfill your future.

Yes, compliments usually make me feel good. It is nice to hear someone tell you something nice about yourself. The thing is, you shouldn't thrive off compliments that other people give you or long to hear someone tell you something that will make or break your day..if that is the case, then that person may or may not have a self esteem issue.

oh yes its alway very nice, thats if they mean it and dont what something back in return. to me if that happens it has no meaning at all. however there is nothing bad about getting one that comes from the heart. it shows that you are doing something good.

compliments not only make us feel good but they also motivate us. now a compliment that says the smile is good or the dress is good ould not motivate us but a compliment that the performance was good would surely motivte us to work better and improve the performance more.
when someone praises my work i feel like doing the work in a much better fashion next time so that people praise more.

I think any sort of compliment is always nice to hear. Especially when it comes out of nowhere or comes from someone that is least expected.
I have heard people often say that they don't like compliments but I don't believe it..every one likes a compliment!
I also feel that when you get a compliment like you did from a boss it definitely makes you feel good. There are times when people feel they just need to be appreciated for what they do and getting that praise really helps and yes I do think it should make and does make a person felt that great!!
