Since recession hit almost all economies in the world, I decided to tone down my spending on clothes.now, I shop for vintage, secondhand clothes, and believe me, I am so thrilled when I find one (or more)item I truly love.my hard earned peso (Php) goes a long-long,LONG way. For Php 1000, I was able to buy 3 cute skirts, 1 funky animal print cardigan, 1 gray dress, and 2 beautiful tops.

I love thrift shopping, its a serious addiction. However, I mostly DIY my clothing these days. Saves me a lot of money and I get to live out my design dreams as well. Hahaha.. But yea, thrift shopping is a great way to save. :-)

DIY clothes! I admire people with such creativity. Some people can re-design their old clothes and turn them into new fashion. I never have courage to do so; instead of putting out a new outfit, I will just cut my clothes into pieces and that's the end of it.

To beat the recession, it is time that you be a smart dresser. Mix and match fashion can create a stunning look in a person. Fashion changes very fast so there is no point of becoming fashion conscious when times are bad.

i am not a fashionable person. i can go out with just simple clothes on me. but i am a bassist in a band and my wife is the one who choose clothes for me. she makes sure that she buys it on marked down priced items or on sale. i guess she is a good shopper so there is nothing to worry. she put dates on her calendar on when is the sale dates and she comes at the mall or department store. she looks around and just buy what is worth the money

Wow!!! I admire you! I am never even close to stretching Php1000 that far. I'd probably be able to for 2 t-shirts and then spend the rest for cute stuff. How am I able to satisfy my fashion cravings? I play dress-up online! LOL! Yeah, I know doesn't even get close to the real thing, but it makes me happy. I've recently run into a bit of trouble though, as I am starting to spend real money for clothes for my dress up doll hahaha! Oh well, I hope my mylot earning will help alleviate the pain of my credit card LOL!

I don't know if i should be replying here because i believe i have a lousy or zero fashion sense. lol! Plus the fact that i am dirt poor. So poor that i couldn't even get a date. lol! Well, when i was in Manila from February to mid April, i was able to buy a jean at 70% off in Mossimo in Market Market. My sis was able to buy a dress at 70% off too. Good catch because never thought in my lifetime that i could still buy a jeans worth 500+. But i think nothing beats your 1000Php worth of few Saturdays of fun.

With that in mind, you can just simply mix and match those stuffs that you have in your wardrobe and you will be even surprise on the output. You can mix and match clothes online through www.lifo.com where all you have to do is upload the photos of your clothes, drag and drop the photos and then done! Another outfit!

I just try to buy on sale and at discount places as much as I can. I don't really buy designer stuff any more (and never did go for expensive designers), but if I were to see something I really liked, there are still amounts I won't pay no matter how much I like something.

you love fashion right? well, i am not really the type but i love going to second hand clothes. i could find many of my type and its more affordable too. but i seldom do buy clothes because we always wear our office uniforms during work time. and i dont usually go out that much so there is no need to buy so many clothes at the same time. specially we are in recession time. thanks friend. jhelai
