I'm making minor changes slowly to my house.

I decided to make my house my own a couple years ago i would slowly make minor changes as i could afford them - this being because its basically the same as when my grandma lived in it. Things I've done so far are - created a fire pit -created a flower bed and lined it with rocks -installed a deck on the front of the house - shrunk the garden. -added an air conditioner -changed the curtains Things i'd like to do are -install a fan in my bedroom - paint the living room - change the counter tops in the kitchen - replace a few of the windows with newer windows - finish the basement I know the last few are fairly expensive projects so i'm saving up for them The fan i intend to do soon then i dont have to have a stand alone fan at the end of my bed for months during the summer. Do you make changes to a house when you move in? All at once or slowly over time? How do you make a house feel like your own?

I almost never move. I am still in process after more than twenty years, of making this place mine. Lots of the same projects and then some. I am having to save for most of them. I have most of a bathroom remodel in boxes on my back porch.

I've moved a few times - for school then a bigger apt to share with my sister - i never did change anything in the apartments. Then i moved "home" to my grandma's house about 5 years ago. I would love to never have to move again!
