There are a number of organizations helping needy people in one's own country and countries in different parts of the world. It is good to make donations to them if one wishes to help fellow human beings. I often make donations to NGO's "World Vision" and "International Redcross". Do you like doing charities ? Do you donate to NGO's ?

I wish I had more to give, in which case, I most likely would. I don't usually donate MONEY, but I've volunteered several times at homeless shelters in my area and at soup kitchen. It seriously makes you feel SO good about yourself and what you're doing to help out. Otherwise, I've started running in 5k races that raise money for charitable causes..That's a good way to help out! It would be nice if more people made the initiative to help out - even small things like going to freerice.com and donating a couple of grains of rice would be awesome.

Hi Maezee. You have been doing so wonderful ! I am very much impressed. Yes, to help people who are in desperate needs, even a couple of grains of rice would be an awesome charity. I will take a look at the website you mentioned "freerice.com". Best wishes to you !

I have been doing a little charity here in our place during Christmas.I have been planning to put up a foundation for these little kids who cannot afford to go to school but are willing to study, but i do not know how to start it. It is also part of our plan to keep them away from bad vices during the summer so we are having a basketball tournament for them to keep them busy.

Yes, It feels good to help our less fortunate brothers and sisters. I usually donate to our church and other charitable institutions.

Sense of sympathy means a lot for less fortunate people.

I know that there are many good charities out there, but the way things are going think it is important to help those in our/your own country first. Charity begins at home.
