DO you fix something easy so it won't heat up the whole kitchen? Often when it is hot outside I do not want hot food. If I do, I tend to fix something I can fix either in the microwave or my toaster oven so it wont heat the kitchen up so mmuch. What about you?

I am fortunate in that respect in that I love salad! And during the hot weather we don't cook we just eat salads, it's very healthy too, we grow vegetables in the garden and there is nothing nicer than eating vegetables that you have grown yourself! Salads are so versatile and I never get fed up with them. I'll even have a sandwich as an alternative, we also notice the bills go down too because we use the oven and other electrical gadgets far less in the Summer months! So it's favourable in every way not to cook in hot weather in our family.

I like to prepare chicken macaroni salad because it needs to get chilled to make it more delicious to eat especially hot season. I like to prepare chilled fruits, salads during those season.

I agree it is to much to do a lot of cooking in the summer, We usually do a lot of it out side on the grill. We tend to eat lighter when the weather is hot. a salad with a lot of different vegetables makes a good meal when it is too hot.

I stick to salds and a steak if needed. But many salads can be done without my staying at the kitchen to to see how something is being cooked. A potato salad will mean cooking potatoes but I put them in the range and forget about them for half an hour. CesarĀ“s salad or similar ones can be done without heating anything.
