Death penalty or life sentence?

Recently, the death penalty here in our country was lifted off, and the pro life community specially the church had rejoiced and feel glad about this news. But do you think this news is good for the development of our country? Especially the crime rates in each part of our country that are continually increasing as of these days. Then when a convicted murder, rapist and other criminals were free after a commutation of 20 or less years in prison, do you think that justice was served to them if they have a life sentenced because of their crime.. What do you think of it. Some of them or sentenced a life time imprisonment or maybe double life imprisonment then after 15 or 20 years had passed they will be free... Is it really a justice after they were free even though they sentenced to live the rest of their lives in jail...?
