elmiko responded to a discussion called Is Internet addiction a myth or is it real? in internet surfer. 1 month ago i don't consider it an addiction because one does not get sick or go through withdraw. it reminds me of how they tried to classify video games as an addiction but then backed off of going that far. yeah one would be miserable if either was stopped suddenly but they would get by without physical pain.
