Which types of sheets do you prefer: satin, jersey knit, flannel or cotton?

Hi zoey, I only ever use cotton sheets on the bed, and also cotton for the quilt cover and pillow cases. I don't know if you'll believe this but back in my childhood in England there was a sudden popularity for nylon sheets, can you imagine anything more gross. This is in the days though when housewives ironed sheets and of course nylon sheets did not require ironing.

I prefer cotton sheets because they're coolest. I rarely use my air conditioner. I use my electric fan instead. But the summer heat could be really be felt now, which is why I try to make sure that my bedsheets are thin and comfortable. Thanks for the response on my discussion!

I have one pair of satin sheets and I don't really like them. Thy're ok in winter but in summer they're horrible and sticky. I especially hate the satin sticking to my face. I have always just had plain cotton sheets (all the thread count stuff confuses me and I can't tell the difference) but my little sister has flanelette sheets and when we had family over recently I had to take her bed and I realised just how incredibly comfortable they are! They're so soft and warm and just...comfy! I think I will have to go out and get myself some flanelette sheets. Perhaps some stripy ones.

i go for cotton, here in the philippines it is always hot and humid. so cotton is the best sheet and even clothes. it is comfortable and soft as well. i like satin sheets but satin is hot too when the weather is hot. so almost all year round we only use cotton. even on pillow cases. you have a cool avatar wish i can eat crayons har har har

I like them made with cotton with a bit of artificial material. enough as to be wash & wear. Winters in my country are mild and but I rather use a cotton sheet and a scaldasonno than a flannel one or jeryey.

I hate satin sheets! They so do not feel good on your skin. I just love cotton sheets, depending if I can find ones that really fit my queen size bed. Most sheets dont fit properly anymore.

Hi, As bed sheet I always prefer cotton. They are skin friendly and you feel much comfort in cotton sheet than anything else. Cotton is the best.

I never really tried the jersey knit sheets. But i know the cotton ones are my perferable ones to use cause of the satin ones just iratates me. So i gues i am in t he same boat as you sort of speak.
