Would you open door to strangers?

From local television news, and other gossips from work. Some people really got robbed or attacked by simply playing nice; they open door to strangers who pretend to be needed help or ask for something. Sometimes, there were people who knocked on my door to sell stuff, my parents might occasionally open the door to see what they were selling. Ever since I heard some much of those crimes, we intend not to open door to any stranger now. Except for someone who knew, or the mail man or Fedex delivery person. We gotta protect ourselves nowadays.

I agree. I usually don't answer the door at all, unless I'm expecting someone. It's usually a door-to-door salesman or a UPS/FedEx delivery guy anyway (in which case, they usually leave the package at the door, and I can retrieve it later). Besides, I'm not really HOME enough to actually answer the door, anyway.
