Well this has been a kick in the booty day. I mean I can't win for losing anymore. I have my daughter's school payment on auto pay supposed to come out the last tuesday of the month. I got my paycheck early this week and was real excited cause I had a decent paycheck......till I checked my bank and overnight my daughter's school took out early a whole week early and then the payment that should have been covered bounced creating two overdraft fees. So now half my check is gone to overdraft fees!!!! I am in another slump in sells in my craft business and I could just cry cause the money that I got screwed out of was our grocery money till the 6th!!! Now we have very little left to work with in the pantry and a lot of bills are going unpaid. I could just curl up in a ball in my bed and just cry for days. If I could sell a couple of my bigger ticket items on etsy I could use that for grocery money but I can't seem to get any buyers. I just don't understand why I bust my rear and advertise out the cuzoo and still can't get any sells. Ok thanks for letting me vent. I don't know what I would do without my mylot friends to lean on. So in an effort to make this an actual discussion have you ever had an auto pay come out too early?

This is why I don't like auto pay. It seems to get messed up when you least expect it. I have freinds that do it and if there paycheck auto deposit is messed up there whole account is because they aouto pay bills that then cause overdraft fees. They complain to me after. Its a handy thing but a bucket load of trouble if someone drops the ball. I would go show the school what happened and ask if this is going to be a habit and complain. Never know they might do something about it at least so it doesn't happen again.

I hate autopay also but it was the only choice other than pay newarly $2000 up front for my daughter's school which I didn't have.

I would be furious and definitely would contact them and let them know what they did. That was so wrong! They should make it right with you. I am sorry you are in such a bind.

I don't remember one coming out early, but about two months ago, we changed auto insurance companies. We cancelled the autodraft on the old one. Well, instead of not taking it out, they took out a 3 month policy instead of a one month that they had been taking out. When whoever put the cancellation into the computer, they didn't cancel the policy, they cancelled the Month-to-month policy! So not only did they take out 3 months worth of auto insurance, but the new company took their payment out too. Talk about putting us in the hole!

Hey sweet! Isn't there something that you can do about that? Being that it is an autopay, shouldn't it come out when it is supposed to? Can't you try to discuss it with the bank? If it is on autopay then why did go in early? If you explain it to the bank can't the maybe override the overdraft fee? I don't have anything on autopay so I am not really sure about the bank rule, but I would think that it should be coming out at the same time and it should be allowed to be paid early? It isn't fair to cause you to get an overdraft so it seems that there should be something that can be done about it. Just trying to help. I do hope that things will work out for you. Am going through some stuff of my own that it is pretty serious right now myself.

I don't even have the energy to fight with my bank and the school. First off I bank with one of the MAJOR banks in the country and they could care less about us little people. I just switched the autodraft to a different account that has money in it to cover it from the "new" draft date to past the "old" draft date. I needed to switch it anyway cause I am not working right now but dang you know? I just am feeling all used up today. Everything is running me down. I just can't seem to finish the rag rug I am working on either it is slow going.

I feel your pain. My bank has done numerous things to screw me over before too. They took my who GST once and said it was money that I owed them for the previous year when they accidentally deposited funds into my account that weren't meant for me. I had no problem paying them back but why did they wait a year and why did they take my GST when I needed it without warning. It's another another thing when you have kids and they have no consideration for that fact. Hopefully things will pick up for you in making some extra cash. I have resorted to the same thing lately as its hard to find a job.
